The Director, Benefits Realisation, serves as a significant, strategic contributor to the Games Co-ordination office, establishing and leading the whole of Games Benefits Realisation function for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games (Brisbane 2032).
Reporting to the Executive Director, Games Co-ordination, the role will develop and implement the Brisbane 2032 Benefits Realisation Framework, driving the benefits planning and realisation, identifying gaps and overlaps and providing baseline reporting to maximise the benefits of the Games and provision of robust supporting data and information. You will be a collaborator, adept at creating alignment, common understanding and facilitate positive engagement and involvement of stakeholders.

In this role you will:
• Establish a high performing whole of Games Benefits Realisation function including a comprehensive logic and Benefits Management Framework that spans a complex delivery environment across multiple delivery agencies, initiatives and planning phases across the Games lifecycle.
• Lead the development, implementation and maintenance of a Benefits Management Framework, including the measurement framework for the Games Legacy Strategy, Elevate 2042. This includes the identification, management and reporting of benefits associated with the Games across multiple Games entities organisations, ensuring long-term evaluation and reporting that demonstrates impact and value until 2042.
• Implement measurement of Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) core indicators, to comply with mandatory International Olympic Committee (IOC) requirements and advise the OPGO executive and senior Games governance groups on the selection of additional Games-wide benefits measurements to be pursued, before, during and after the Games, including resource estimations.
• Establish linkages back into Government to contribute to benefits and broader Government strategic objectives and the development of the Games Coordination Plan including benefits forecasting and reporting.
• Develop and implement a robust data strategy for benefits realisation, with the internal Digital and Data Team, to identify benefits indicators, data requirements and a data baseline for long-term collection, storing, sharing and use of data, for ongoing benefits capture once OPGO is dissolved post-Games.
• Develop and communicate benefits narratives to a wide range of stakeholders, ensuring a clear connection to the Games Legacy Strategy, Elevate 2042, consolidated Brisbane 2032 Games Coordination Plan and articulation of the macro benefits of the Games through to program-level impacts.
• Provide capability uplift across Games delivery initiatives, including the Elevate 2042 Legacy Implementation Plan, on the application of the Benefits Management Framework including the associated tools, templates, and training resources; and the development of initiative-level benefits forecast and benefits management strategies.
• Provide exceptional analytical, research and reporting skills, to evaluate, interpret, identify trends, and report and communicate data and portfolio outcomes to provide strategic advice to the Executive Director, Games Co-ordination and decision-makers to optimise return on investment across the portfolio.
