The Principal Project Officer position sits within the Strategic Performance and Project Delivery team in the Strategy, Insights and Advisory (SIA) Group of the Department of State Development, Infrastructure and Planning.
The Strategic Performance and Project Delivery team is an agile team that provides strategic advice and research, assisting other business areas within the department with key government commitments and initiatives, such as planning, industry development, and key infrastructure projects supporting additional housing and regional growth.
The primary responsibilities of this role includes but are not limited to: assistance in the design of departmental projects and initiatives; researching and writing of advice, policy, research papers and briefing material; direction setting; strategic analysis; providing quality advice; establishing and maintaining effective relationships; encouraging creativity and innovation and improved ways of doing things; managing conflicting priorities and tight deadlines; performing and delivering upon operational tasks and requirements.
