The Mount Isa Housing Service Centre has Housing Officer vacancies within the following teams:
Access/Intake: This role involves managing housing applications and working closely with vulnerable customers to assess their eligibility for social housing.
Tenancy: –This position focuses on managing social housing properties within the region. Responsibilities include supporting tenants in all aspects of maintaining their tenancy and fostering positive neighbourly relations.
Property: This role is responsible for supporting key functions to ensure properties within the region are safe and compliant. This includes overseeing property maintenance and conducting regular inspections to uphold quality and safety standards.

In this role, you will provide a wide range of support and guidance in applicant, tenancy, and property management services to our customers, advocates, and other stakeholders. Your role will be crucial in ensuring they receive the best possible advice and assistance.
Our region spans north to Karumba, south to Boulia, east to Hughenden and west to the Northern Territory boarder.
Planned travel within the region is a requirement, typically for 2-4 nights for positions within the Tenancy and Property roles. Travel schedules can be arranged to accommodate staff availability.
Extensive training will be provided via mandatory online training as well as peer support. Our work is not “just a job” we are looking for people who want a career in supporting our most vulnerable Queenslanders.

Successful candidates will receive 5 weeks leave per annum and will be entitled to access the Regional and Remote Incentive payments after working here for 6 months.
