Key responsibilities
- Undertake robust research and analysis to gather evidence and ensure an in-depth understanding of the problem and possible solutions.
- Provide policy advice on the impacts of proposed policy reform for VAQ.
- Develop and manage strategic policy projects through to implementation.
- Develop operational policies and procedures to guide consistent service delivery across VAQ.
- Liaise and consult with internal and external stakeholders on proposed reforms to provide policy advice that considers potential impacts on VAQ operations and develops strategies to support implementation.
- Consult with relevant statutory bodies, departments, non-government organisations and community groups on policy matters to inform business and service delivery improvements.
- Develop and prepare a range of strategic and operational documents and reports as required including briefing papers, project plans, proposals, progress reports, submissions, and correspondence.
- Monitor and report on the status of projects to effectively manage project risks and issues to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as directed by supervisory and management staff, adhering to professional standards and organisational objectives.
