About the Role:
As a Senior Advisor (Finance), you'll be a key member of the Public Transport Finance - Regional team, which oversees the financial administration of service delivery contracts across regional Queensland. Your role is essential in ensuring public funds are used efficiently and transparently to support critical transport services.

You'll provide high-level financial advice, lead financial modelling, manage complex contract payments, and support the ongoing development of systems and processes. You'll also work closely with stakeholders, internal and external, to ensure financial data and advice is delivered clearly, accurately, and with impact. This is a dynamic, high-responsibility role with a meaningful purpose, supporting the equitable delivery of transport services across our state.

Key Responsibilities:
• Analyse complex financial matters, including detailed financial modelling to support contract decision-making.
• Support the development and delivery of finance-related projects and initiatives.
• Develop and implement processes and reports for financial administration of contracts.
• Provide strategic financial and commercial advice to key stakeholders.
• Communicate with influence and clarity to translate financial insights into practical actions.

What You'll Bring:
• Strong experience in contract finance, including payment calculations, process design, and financial modelling.
• Advanced financial management capabilities — from budgeting and forecasting to ratio analysis and month-end reporting.
• Proficiency in SAP, Excel, Power Query, and SharePoint.
• Exceptional time management and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence and engage a range of stakeholders.

Mandatory Requirements:
Criminal history check (due to access to sensitive data).
