RoadTek Sunshine Coast is seeking a passionate and proactive Advisor (Operational Safety) to join our operations team.
In this hands-on role, you will work directly with operational crews, managers and statewide safety experts to strengthen safety outcomes across our civil construction projects. You’ll lead onsite safety coaching, training, incident investigation, and
frontline engagement, making a visible difference to the safety, wellbeing and development of local teams.

In this dynamic roll, some of your responsibilities include:
• Collaborate across teams to support the delivery of operational safety initiatives under the Infrastructure Management and Delivery (IMD) work health and safety (WHS) model.
• Deliver informal onsite training, coordinate safety trials, and engage with crews and safety representatives to improve safety practices.
• Drive WHS improvements through incident prevention, investigations, safety leadership, and monitoring of high-risk activities.
• Lead incident reporting, investigations, and audits in line with TMR and IMD procedures.
• Provide onsite coaching, mentoring, and support to workers, supervisors and managers.
While not mandatory, candidates with the following qualifications and experience will be highly regarded:
• University degree or other tertiary qualification/equivalent qualification (e.g. Diploma) in work health and safety.
• Proven experience in operational health and safety practices in the civil construction industry, including frontline engagement and surveillance, monitoring of compliance and performance, and the development of frontline organisational capability.
• Proven experience in safety orientated coaching and mentoring of field staff across various civil construction product streams.
• Proven experience in incident investigation within the civil construction industry and exposure to critical risk in a civil environment is desirable but not essential.
