The Senior Business Officer key responsibilities are:

• Provide high quality business advice and support to Information Services (IS) Executives and senior managers on human resource matters and associated financial and administrative processes including the development and oversight of human resource, financial and administrative systems where required.
• Undertake day to day operational HR activities to support IS through the application of and provision of advice on human resource management policies, processes and procedures to ensure compliance with government legislation, directives, policies, procedures and initiatives and related departmental policies within the region.
• Assist the manager in promoting an equitable work environment, upholding departmental management standards and policies: including performance
management; equal employment opportunities; anti-discrimination; and workplace health and safety.
• Manage and provide best practice advice and guidance for all end-to-end recruitment processes (public servant and ICT Contingent Labour), including:
o Assist in determining existing or new role profiles required to support Information Services recruitments. Provide quality analysis and options for capability and competency frameworks to inform and underpin the design of job profile content.
o Map the roles skillsets and capabilities against team and role functional descriptions.
o Manage and track approval and appointment processes as per the HR and Financial Delegations with efficient and timely advertising of job postings or
vacancies, processing work orders and appointments, and managing the onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Prepare and contribute to reports and correspondence on a diverse range of issues in relation to the ICT Contingent Labour and human resource management, and other areas, as required by senior management.
• Contribute to the analysis of budgetary implications of ICT Contingent Labour recruitment strategies.
• Use strong interpersonal communication skills to negotiate, establish and maintain networks and working relationships with team members, clients and
stakeholders.
