We're seeking a motivated and organised Paralegal to join our In-house Legal team within the Business and Corporate Partnership. This is a flexible full-time role where you'll work closely with a team of government lawyers providing legal support across three Queensland Government agencies. As a key member of our collaborative legal team of five, you'll support litigation, prosecutions, appeals, and other legal matters that contribute to good governance and public confidence in Queensland's public sector. You'll thrive in a detail-focused environment, where your initiative, independence, and ability to manage competing priorities are highly valued.
Key responsibilities:
• Preparing and filing court documents, including briefs of evidence and appeal records.
• Managing litigation lists and maintaining legal databases.
• Supporting disclosure and redaction of sensitive material.
• Conducting legal research, including case law and legislation.
• Drafting correspondence and liaising with clients and legal providers.
• Coordinating document storage, access, and security across digital systems.
• Contributing to records management and document compilation for court proceedings.

- Experience in paralegal work or legal administration,
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Strong word processing and document formatting skills.
- High attention to detail and focus, especially in legal document preparation.
