Queensland Treasury's Queensland Government Insurance Fund (QGIF) is seeking a motivated and skilled Operations Coordinator (AO6) to join our team. QGIF is a self-insurance scheme that plays a pivotal role in managing Government risks and ensuring adequate provisioning for liabilities. As the Operations Coordinator, you will provide high-level financial, operational, and corporate support to the QGIF leadership team and stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making and the achievement of strategic objectives.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the heart of Government operations, collaborating with internal Treasury teams and external agencies to ensure QGIF's business objectives are met effectively and efficiently.
In this role, you will:
• Provide professional and specialist advice on financial accounting, human resources, operations, budgeting, and reporting matters.
• Support the QGIF Leadership Team with high-level advice and information to enable effective management and decision-making.
• Coordinate QGIF's financial, operational, and business processes, including preparing accurate financial reports and ensuring compliance with internal controls.
• Maintain accurate and responsive business process documentation across multiple functions.
• Develop high-quality communication materials and conduct research, analysis, and project coordination to support executive decision-making.
• Lead business process improvement initiatives and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
What experience you will bring:
• Strong operational knowledge of finance, accounting, human resources, and procurement processes within a Queensland Government context.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to prepare accurate and timely financial reports to support decision-making.
• Proven ability to deliver on multiple priorities, including financial management, facilities management, and information technology support.
• Sound project management and organisational skills, with the ability to adapt to changing demands and deliver outcomes efficiently.
• Proven ability to manage and improve business processes and implement process improvement initiatives.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, however, relevant qualifications in accounting will be are highly regarded.
