Transport Legislation Reform is part of the Land Transport Safety and Regulation branch. The Transport Legislation Reform team leads legislative reform for land transport safety and reform policy with its legislative program.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Working on the development of legislation relating to transport policy in areas such as road rules, driver licensing, vehicle standards, marine pollution, marine safety, digital identity and rail safety.
• Preparing formal documentation relating to legislative drafting processes including drafting instructions, executive council minutes, explanatory notes and human rights certificates.
• Reviewing legislative proposals by other Queensland Government agencies and local governments to consider and respond to potential interactions and impacts with transport portfolio legislation.
