QCS is seeking an experienced, motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join its Procurement and Contract Management Group (PCMG). PCMG partners with QCS business units in delivering support and advice across the procurement lifecycle based on QCS priorities, needs and objectives. PCMG is focused on procuring for good by advancing the government's economic, environmental and social objectives.

In this role you will:

  • Apply procurement (sourcing, operational procurement, contract management, performance, policy, systems) and category management fundamentals to deliver of meaningful business intelligence outputs.
  • Identify and use the most appropriate analytical tools, techniques, and systems to analyse and interpret a wide range of supplier and organisational information and develop reports, forecasts, and advice to inform and support procurement planning and decision-making.
  • Provide advice, supported by quality business intelligence to management, customers, and stakeholders, ensuring data and concepts are translated for the audience.
  • Support the development and implementation of best practice principles to business intelligence and data management with a focus on process, and data and document management.
  • Develop business intelligence and data management system requirements to meet operational and strategic objectives.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure fit for purpose systems implemented.
  • Lead and deliver procurement business intelligence and data management projects/outputs, applying business intelligence and data management tools such as Power BI, Excel, and AI.
  • Build and leverage stakeholder relationships to deliver outcomes.
  • SharePoint development in line with QCS, financial, and procurement best practice.
  • Attend meetings, working groups, formal and informal networks and forums, providing quality advice, support and knowledge.
  • Interrogate databases to extract, analyse and incorporate relevant data into reporting templates and documens for QCS' reporting requirements.
  • Undertake robust benefis analysis to formujalte strategic recommendations.

About You

The ideal applicant will have:

  • Knowledge and experience in the management, extraction, analysis, and reporting (presentation and communication) of data and analysis findings.
  • Demonstrated ability to acquire knowledge of procurement policies and procedures which contribute to procurement operational governance, reporting and improvement outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilise a range of software programs including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, data modelling systems, and database applications.
