The QGP Compliance Branch plays a pivotal role in upholding the integrity of the Queensland Government's procurement processes, ensuring that goods and services delivered to Queenslanders ethically and responsibly. Central to its mission is the execution of state-wide compliance activities to verify that suppliers adhere to Queensland Government policies, including the Supplier Code of Conduct, relevant legislation, and any related contractual commitments. This work reinforces the government's commitment to ethical procurement practices.

Key responsibilities
• Conducting state-wide proactive compliance activities including complex audits, inspections, assessments, investigations and detailed analysis of information to establish supplier compliance to obligations when supplying to the Queensland Government.
• Producing complex audit and investigation reports, recommendations and conduct reviews of technical information arising out of State-wide compliance activities across all procurement categories.
• Working collectively in a team environment ensuring allocated workloads meet operational milestones and provide specialist technical support and advice to less experienced staff.
• Assisting with mentoring, coaching and training of internal staff across a variety of work activities and become involved in the more difficult or potentially contentious cases/issues to assist raising and equalising team capacity.
• Ensuring all data and other information from compliance activities is appropriately managed and recorded.
• Identify actual or perceived risk of non-compliance including making recommendations to improve levels of compliance to Queensland Government requirements.
• Identify and communicate opportunities to improve Queensland Procurement Compliance practices for buyers and suppliers by analysing data to identify emerging trends and risk factors.
