Project Manager (Civil)

RoadTek Central Queensland (Rockhampton) are seeking a Project Manager (Civil) to support their operations unit on a permanent basis. In this role, you will provide engineering input to design, construction and maintenance activities within the business unit, while working with a team that is delivering major improvements for customers and communities in the region.
RoadTek is a commercial business within the Department of Transport & Main Roads. We provide transport infrastructure solutions for projects across Queensland. In this role, you will manage construction and/or maintenance activities within the business unit to ensure a high standard of quality, economy and safety are achieved and project outcomes are met. You will provide technical advice to subordinate staff in your areas of responsibility to ensure technical standards and efficiencies are achieved.
Mandatory qualifications and conditions:
• Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.
• Valid Queensland ‘C' class driver's licence or equivalent.
• A reasonable amount of travel consistent with industry standards will be required throughout the State.
• A Washington Accord accredited four-year degree in Civil Engineering or equivalence recognised by Engineers Australia.
Desirable requirements
• A Diploma in Project Management and accredited Frontline Management qualification is highly desirable.
• Previous experience in the road construction or maintenance industry.
• Strong computer literacy and the ability to rapidly learn new software packages relevant to their role.
