You’ll be the friendly face (and voice!) that guides industry through manufacturing, importing and selling electrical goods into Australia (the Electrical Equipment Safety System - EESS). Additionally, you will ensure the seamless operation of activities behind the scenes.

We're on the lookout for a Customer Support Officer (officially known as a Customer Administration Officer) to join our Electrical Safety Office's Equipment Safety team.

You'll be the friendly face (and voice!) that guides industry through manufacturing, importing and selling electrical goods into Australia (the Electrical Equipment Safety System - EESS). Additionally, you will ensure the seamless operation of activities behind the scenes.

What You'll Be Doing

  • First point of contact for phone and email enquiries from clients across Australia, and even internationally
  • Support customers with the EESS application process and provide guidance on legislative compliance
  • Keep client records accurate and up-to-date, and maintain data in line with standards and legislation
  • Help coordinate appointments, meetings and travel for the team - you'll be the organiser extraordinaire
  • Assist with processing Cathodic Protection registration applications
  • Collaborate across the organisation to provide efficient support services
  • Stay up to date on Electrical Safety Office services so you can confidently provide accurate information to clients
  • Contribute to a workplace culture that values equity, inclusion, and diversity

Who We're Looking For

We're after someone with:

  • At least 2 years of experience in customer service, admin or a similar role
  • Strong organisational skills - you love ticking things off your to-do list
  • Excellent communication - both written and verbal
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Confidence using computer systems and juggling multiple admin tasks
  • A warm, respectful and customer-focused attitude
