As Executive Officer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, confidential executive support in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. What you'll be doing:
• Provide trusted, proactive support to the Executive Director, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the office.
• Coordinate and manage key administrative tasks, including diary and travel management, meeting agendas, minute-taking, and records handling.
• Prepare, edit, and quality assure briefing materials, correspondence, and reports.
• Support the preparation of high-level departmental briefings and ministerial communications.
• Monitor HR-related documentation such as payroll and leave reports and coordinate with internal HR teams as needed.
• Be the first point of contact for the Executive Director, managing stakeholder relationships with professionalism and discretion.
• Exercise sound judgment on what requires escalation versus what can be actioned independently.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to maintain a respectful, inclusive and high-performing culture.
What we're looking for:
We're looking for a skilled professional with:
• Strong experience in administrative support at a senior level, ideally within government or a complex organisation.
• Excellent written communication skills, with high attention to detail and ability to produce clear, concise documents.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with electronic document management systems.
• Exceptional time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills, including discretion when handling confidential or sensitive matters.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• A commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful workplace culture.
