As a Senior Human Resource Officer (AO5) you will work in the Workforce Relations and Integrity team within the People and Culture branch of the Corporate Services Divisions. In this role you will lead and contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies, systems and procedures to deliver efficient and effective human resource management strategies and initiatives relating to employee relations (ER) and industrial relations (IR). This is achieved by working together with business groups, providing sound advice to senior management and staff and building effective networks within the department, within the Queensland Public Sector and with relevant external organisations.

As the Senior Human Resources Officer, AO5, you will:
• Provide advice to management and other key stakeholders and clients on a broad range of strategic and operational ER/IR management policies, procedures, systems, practices and issues.
• Actively contribute to the planning, formulation, review and implementation of ER policies and procedures.
• Support ER case management processes, such as discipline and employee complaints.
• Establish and maintain effective networks and working relationships within and external to the department to meet departmental priorities and objectives.
• Contribute to and participate in departmental networks, committees and working groups.
• Participate in HR projects related to the development, implementation, maintenance and review of HR programs, systems and solutions with focus on adding value to business outcomes.
• Prepare recommendations, reports and other correspondence to management and stakeholders on strategic and operational HR initiatives and issues.
• Assist in the provision of data and analysis in relation to various HR programs and objectives.
• Deliver information sessions and/or training to staff and support capability development activities.
• Prepare correspondence to external customers.
