About the role

As a Litigation Support Officer, you will play a vital role in managing administrative tasks associated with case files, including opening, closing, and archiving files, as well as completing data entry and conducting searches. You will also monitor accounts, process grants or aid requests, and conduct conflict checks while maintaining web systems, casework standards, and administrative processes. As the first point of contact for your area, you will respond promptly to client and stakeholder enquiries, fostering positive and inclusive service delivery.

  • Administrative experience, ideally within a legal environment, with knowledge of court, tribunal, and commission procedures related to civil law.
  • Strong communication skills, with an ability to communicate clearly and concisely with clients and stakeholders.
  • The ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and learn new information technology systems and organisation-specific software programs.
  • A commitment to Legal Aid Queensland's values of respect, quality, and accountability, as well as promoting diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing in the workplace.
