As an Advisor (AO6), you will play a key role in supporting the effective communication flow between QBCC leadership, the Minister's Office, and the Department of Housing and Public Works. You'll be responsible for drafting and coordinating high-quality ministerial and executive correspondence, briefing notes, parliamentary documents, and reports. This includes managing a ministerial correspondence registry, ensuring documentation is accurate, fit-for-purpose, and delivered on time. You'll work with sensitivity and discretion, contributing to a collaborative team that values confidentiality, attention to detail, and exceptional customer service across both internal and external stakeholders.
To succeed in this role, you will have strong writing skills and the ability to produce high-level correspondence and reports. Your customer-focused approach, sound interpersonal skills, and ability to handle sensitive issues professionally will be key. You'll contribute positively to a team environment, maintain effective working relationships, and manage competing priorities under tight deadlines—delivering outcomes that reflect clarity, accuracy, and professionalism at every level.

The position is based in Brisbane, and the successful candidate will have the option to work from home under an approved Flexible Work Arrangement.
