Mackay Hospital and Health Service Mackay is a vibrant regional centre in tropical North Queensland, servicing a population of over 180,000. Salary

Remuneration value up to $172,342 p.a. comprising salary between $4,966.90 p.f. - $5,758.70 p.f. (L4-L9)

Your opportunity

  • To advance your practice in general medicine through exposure to an exciting case mix in a supportive environment under the supervision of a collaborative unit of Specialists.
  • To work closely with and learn from a wide array of Specialists with an extensive breadth of expertise.
  • To develop the clinical leadership skills required to practice as an RACP Fellow.
  • To participate in the provision, development, and maintenance of an effective, efficient, and equitable clinical service to hospital clients; and contribute to the continual improvement of medical education and dissemination of knowledge to staff and clients

About the Department

The Department of General Medicine manages patients with a diverse range of multiple active co-morbidities or undifferentiated illnesses above the age of 16 years that require ongoing inpatient, ward-based hospital care. We are a busy inpatient service with consultation and outpatient clinic responsibilities.
