The opportunity
• Provide operational support and assistance to the Research Operations Coordinator at the Health and Food Sciences Precinct (HFSP) so that critical science facilities and associated systems are properly maintained and operate efficiently and reliably.
• Work in a cooperative manner to deliver services through the central store including inward and outward mail and receipt and dispatch of all goods for all Agencies at HFSP (store hours are 7am to 4pm)
• Coordinate the delivery of gases to HFSP for all agencies. Monitor and replace bottled gas supplies for laboratories at the HFSP under the direction of the Research Operations Coordinator.
• Provide an efficient service in the process and dispatch of dangerous items and goods received at HFSP.
What we are looking for?
• Experience working in a Government/University or Hospital Research Facility store or maintenance department will be well regarded
• A trade qualification would be well regarded.
• Computer literacy skills and familiarity working with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Access.
