As an Executive Support Officer you will:

  • Ensure efficient operation of day-to-day activities of the Office of the Regional Executive Director including coordinating the daily flow of business.
  • Manage the office and administrative functions associated with the Regional Executive Director, Regional Director and Directors and provide high quality, confidential business support.
  • Maintain the Regional Executive Director, Regional Director and Directors' diary including organisation of meetings, appointments, conferences, seminars, travel arrangements including accommodation.
  • Consult and negotiate with senior management and other agency senior officers to resolve any matters as appropriate to the role.
  • Provide quality services to the Regional Executive Director, Regional Director and Directors in word processing, spreadsheet development, presentations and data input.
  • Assist the Regional Executive Director, Regional Director and Directors with project work, as required.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with the Office of the Deputy Director-General, other regions, corporate areas and officers at all levels within public and private sectors in relation to the region's activities.
  • Assist callers, screen and intercept telephone calls and redirect enquiries to appropriate areas.
  • Examine, disseminate and monitor all incoming correspondence (including emails received by the Regional Executive Director, Regional Director and Directors) and maintain electronic and physical filing systems.
