Test Analyst

The Digital Services and Programs (DSP) are responsible for delivering a program of ICT projects in line with the DJAG ICT Strategy 2021-2026. Queensland Courts and Tribunals rely heavily upon technology to deliver existing services and plan to use technology to further drive strategic change in the way that services are delivered to the community. The outcome of these projects will streamline workflows, make better use of limited human resources, improve client experience, and enable the future move to a digitised and paper lite court and tribunal system.
The Product Management team provides guidance, support and advice on product management, enhancement and support of implemented products that are in Business as Usual (BAU) through the provision of experienced business analysis and technical design skills.

As a Test Analyst, you will:
- Develop and maintain system, regression and integration testing scripts for all courts products supported in Business As Usual (BAU).
- Complete system, regression and integration testing and associated activities such as defect logging, prioritisation, and management within established testing frameworks.
- Collaborate with other team members to undertake preparation for testing, and issue and defect resolution to enable test execution deadlines to be met.
- Contribute to test planning, including automation planning, scheduling, preparation, and report development.
- Develop and maintain procedures and documentation in relation to testing activities.
- Monitor and evaluate testing progress and risks and assist with reporting on these items appropriately to key stakeholders.
- Manage the user acceptance testing (UAT) process of courts products within resource and time constraints including securing business resources and final testing acceptance.
Technical skills, abilities and cultural capability:
- Experience performing system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing and co-ordination in a complex environment.
- Experience in interpreting functional requirements and design specifications to develop appropriate test scenarios that align with overarching test strategy and testing principles.
- Experience in testing focussing on UX, accessibility, data privacy, and security considerations.
- Demonstrated experience working in an agile environment with associated personal attributes of communication, collaboration, adaptability and critical analysis.
- Attention to detail in ensuring no errors are overlooked, problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively and clear communication with developers and stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the team and business areas to secure testing resources.
Qualifications and conditions:
Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications required, the following qualifications and certifications or experiences would be highly regarded:
- Certified Software Tester (CSTE) or Certified Agile Tester (CAT)
- Familiarity with automated testing tools, API testing, SQL testing
- Manual testing and use of Agile and DevOps
