Your role within Housing and Homelessness Services will support the department to Develop, implement, deliver and manage learning and development programs for housing and homelessness services.

The work you will do helps someone every day, and that means the world to us. Service Delivery, Housing and Homelessness Services provides a range of services, products and referrals to offer housing solutions for diverse customer groups.

You will be assisting with the development, implementation and maintenance of resources (business processes, service delivery practices, procedures and systems), tools and expertise to support Housing Service Centre staff and business partners to deliver effective, consistent and integrated housing services to customers.

What you will be doing:
• Undertake desktop research to inform recommendations for continuous improvement in business processes and service delivery practice.
• Assist with the analysis of data to support and inform innovative person-centred service planning design and the development of operational policy.
• Provide support to team members in developing, implementing and reviewing resources to provide streamlined service delivery for customers.
• Support the preparation of a range of high-quality written material including business reports, practice guides and presentations as required.
• Ensure quality preparation and dissemination of documents such as minutes, agenda and email correspondence.
• Work both autonomously and within the team and using own judgment to meet priorities and deadlines.
• Foster and supporting strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful and timely implementation of activities for the ongoing development and maintenance of business process, service delivery practices, procedures and systems.
• Support and help maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied and a part of day to day operations.

The skills you will need include being able to:
• Work flexibly without supervision and your ability to effectively manage new and unexpected events and demonstrate judgement about when to escalate issues.
• Seek continuous improvement by generating and sharing creative ideas and suggest improvements.
• Demonstrate interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain productive relationships and communication with internal/external stakeholders.
• Support team capability development by readily sharing your knowledge and experience.
• Rigorously research and analyse information relevant to tasks.
