Mediation and Conciliation Support Officer

Are you a detail-oriented professional with strong administrative skills and a passion for helping people resolve disputes? The Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) is seeking a Mediation and Conciliation Support Officer to assist in the delivery of our Mediation and Conciliation services. In this role, you'll provide vital administrative support to ensure smooth coordination and efficient service delivery. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, helping to facilitate fair and timely dispute resolution for Queensland’s building and construction industry.

The position is based in Brisbane, and the successful candidate will have the option to work from home under an approved Flexible Work Arrangement.

 

Key Outcomes and Accountabilities 

  • Provide assistance and administrative support to the team.
  • Undertake a range of administrative duties using modern office technology.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to staff of the Commission and external customers.

Candidate Attributes

  1. Ability to multitask and prioritise while demonstrating attention to detail.
  2. Process, use and gather information contained within computerised knowledge bases and other data.
  3. Ability to use multiple software programs, including sound skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and QBCC Financial Software.
  4. Achieve team goals through participation as a member of the team.
  5. Use effective communication and interpersonal skills in the workplace, including sound communication skills.
