What You'll Be Doing:
As our Deputy Chief Finance Officer, you'll:
• Steer the ship — Provide leadership and oversight of all financial activities, including budgeting, expenditure, accounting and capital investment.
• Be the expert — Offer strategic financial advice to the Minister, Director-General, and Deputy Directors-General, helping drive performance and impact.
• Build greatness — Lead and inspire a high-performing finance team that's future focused, values-driven and committed to continuous improvement.
• Shape the landscape — Negotiate and advise on major intergovernmental financial arrangements and partnerships with central agencies and key stakeholders.

Who you are:
You're more than a numbers expert — you're a strategic thinker, a people leader and a trusted advisor with a track record of navigating complex environments. We're looking for someone who:
• Brings extensive senior leadership experience across large, complex organisations.
• Has deep technical knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, asset accounting, taxation and financial policy frameworks.
• Thrives in high-stakes negotiations and stakeholder engagement.
• Builds empowered, high-performing teams that deliver with purpose and passion

What You'll Need
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in business or accounting.
• Membership with a recognised accounting body (e.g. CPA, CA).
• Criminal history check and to complete a Declaration of Interests.
