We have a temporary vacancy for up to two years, with the possibility of extension, for a Principal Advisor (Property) on the Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail Project. In this role, you will lead and support critical land acquisition and property activities, ensuring timely and compliant outcomes that enable the successful delivery of major rail infrastructure.

The Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail (LGC) project will unlock the current capacity bottleneck on the South East Queensland rail network, enabling more frequent and reliable services between Brisbane, Logan, and the Gold Coast. As a key infrastructure investment ahead of the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the project includes extensive track upgrades, nine new train stations, five level crossing removals, park 'n' ride enhancements, and new active travel pathways. This transformational project will deliver significant benefits to communities, customers, and businesses along the 20km corridor.
As the Principal Advisor (Property), you will play a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of this high-profile program by leading complex land acquisition and property management activities across the LGC project corridor. You will provide expert advice on land tenure matters, proactively manage acquisition and disposal risks, and ensure compliance with legislative and policy frameworks. Your work will directly influence the project's ability to meet key milestones, manage stakeholder relationships, and optimise transport and land use
outcomes.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Leading and coordinating the acquisition and disposal of land to support project delivery
• Providing high-level advice on land tenure, easements, reserves, and native title considerations
• Developing and implementing the project's residual land strategy in consultation with government agencies
• Building and maintaining effective relationships with property owners, internal stakeholders, local councils, and external consultants
• Supporting contract and stakeholder management related to complex property transactions
• Contributing to a high-performing, solutions-focused project team with a shared commitment to delivery
