The QBCC is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Contract Administration and Training Officer to support the implementation and ongoing management of our contract management framework for Service Providers under the Queensland Home Warranty Scheme. This framework underpins the delivery of claims and rectification services in partnership with external Service Providers. Reporting to the Manager, Rectification Delivery, you will provide operational support to both the Manager and Director, ensuring alignment with QBCC’s Procurement and Contract Management Policies and Procedures. This position is based in Brisbane and the successful candidate will have the option to work from home and work from a regional office.
Working from a regional office will be subject to availability and if this is suitable for the team.
Key Outcomes and Accountabilities
- Identify, determine and respond to internal and external stakeholder needs regarding contract management and QBCC case management requests to ensure business outcomes are met within agreed timeframes.
- Assist in the development and review of contract and case management and systems guidance resources inclusion operational policies and procedures in alignment with current practices.
- Implement training and planning process that support and promote efficiencies and customer satisfaction deliverables with internal and external stakeholders.

Candidate Attributes
- Highly developed interpersonal skills including written communication and the ability to consult at appropriate levels within government with proven ability in providing a high level of customer service both internally and externally.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the end-to-end QHWS claims management process or similar and associated legislation to assist in the development, and delivery of training that motivates staff and external stakeholders to engage in education, training or organisational change activities to work towards future objectives and achieve agreed outcomes.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of contract management requirements, processes and best practice.
- Ability to perform analysis and reporting of contract and system data to provide insights and demonstrate the effectiveness of the contracts management framework including rectification delivery.
- Proven ability to collaborate within teams of multi-disciplinary professional to achieve output objectives, while managing time and balancing competing priorities to deliver successful training and contract management outcomes.
Desirable Requirements
- Whilst not mandatory, previous experience in the QBCC case management and process of Home Warranty claims would be highly regarded.
