RoadTek has an exciting permanent opportunity for a Project Engineer (Electrical) to join our team in the Cairns Operations Unit.

In this key role, you will be providing electrical engineering support for the efficient and effective operation of the Traffic Management systems, ITS and Roadway Lighting for the far north region.

In this dynamic role, you'll apply your expertise across traffic signals, road lighting, and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS)—a cutting-edge field that leverages advanced technologies to enhance road safety, reduce congestion, and deliver realtime traffic information.

By integrating systems engineering with electronics, communications, and control technologies, ITS improves transport efficiency across Queensland. As a Project Engineer (Electrical), you'll be involved in the full lifecycle of these systems—from planning and design to construction, maintenance, and innovation. You'll also play a key role in developing technical standards and driving the adoption of emerging
technologies.
