We are looking for an experienced IT professional to lead and manage a team of talented software developers for our business unit, Information and Technology Partners (ITP). The position of Team Leader is responsible for leading a team through the lifecycle of software products and services using Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Salesforce.

ITP is hosted by the Department of Primary Industries (DPI) and delivers information technology and information management services to 7 government agencies. Our purpose is to provide effective and innovative services as a trusted, strategic partner distributing smart, secure and seamless solutions. We connect people, processes, information and technology to deliver better outcomes for Queensland.

The opportunity 

As our Team Leader you will lead a team through the lifecycle of contemporary ICT applications and software product platforms. You will have the opportunity to provide technical knowledge, contribute solutions and oversee the administration to the governance of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Salesforce platforms and services. Your technical expertise and leadership skills will contribute to our vision to be the digital partner of choice in the Queensland Public Sector. 

As Team Leader, you will be responsible to:

  • Ensure team service delivery performance aligns to a high standard as well as the business and partner agency objectives.
  • Prepare and present submissions, reports, proposals and briefings on significant issues in IT and environmental systems to support business requirements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with ITPs key stakeholders.
  • Work with the Manager to develop service provisions and determine appropriate resourcing levels and accompanying training needs required to meet demand.
  • Consult and negotiate with service suppliers, vendors and partner agencies and manage ongoing contract management activity and relevant procurements for the team as required.
  • Identify opportunities and implement operational efficiencies to improving the delivery of services.
  • Actively participate and contribute to an inclusive and diverse environment promoting respect, ethical practices, workplace safety, equity knowledge sharing and a positive workplace culture. 

What we are looking for (qualifications, registrations, experience) 

  • Demonstrated Team Leader experience in product development and problem solving.
  • Experience with designing, building and maintaining Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Salesforce.
  • Extensive digital design and service delivery knowledge with professional consultancy and collaboration skills.
  • You must have the legal right to live and work in Australia.
