The Senior Project Officer will lead and deliver the Queensland Parks & Wildlife Service and Partnerships (QPWS&P) Fire Training Program with associated correspondence and reporting services, high level organisation skills, research and analysis skills and highly developed written communication skills to ensure the program meets organisational needs. The role will require effective communication with colleagues and staff from across the agency and the ability to provide accurate and succinct advice to support the Manager, often within tight time constraints

As the Senior Project Officer, you will:
• Participate in a multi-disciplinary team to develop, implement, provide advice on and continuously improve strategies and systems, policies and procedures for fire management across QPWS&P.
• Research and analyse information, and prepare correspondence, reports, briefings and submissions regarding the development, progress and delivery of fire training and development for staff and partners.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders including QPWS&P regions, other divisions, state governments, and national advisory groups relating to fire management training and provide advice as required.
• Provide advice and assist with the development of policies and procedures for use by QPWS&P staff on fire management.
• Participate as a proactive member of the Fire Services Branch.
• Represent QPWS&P in industry forums, interdepartmental and other committees.
