Senior Asset Management Officer
Land Acquisition and Asset Management; Strategy and Business; Coordinator General; Flexible - Brisbane or Townsville
As Senior Asset Management Officer you will oversee the management of the Coordinator-General’s land and assets in State Development Areas (SDAs), declared under the State Development and Public Works Organisation Act 1971 to facilitate the delivery of a diverse range of programs and multi-faceted projects, as well as provide high level technical support and advice in relation to land and asset management in SDAs.
This role is suited to individuals with practical land and asset management, agricultural, ecological or ranger experience who enjoy working and traveling in regional Queensland.

• Provide detailed technical direction, to ensure the effective and efficient management of Coordinator-General owned land and assets.
• Prepare and implement the Strategic Asset Management Plan for the Coordinator-General's assets (land and built assets) in SDAs, including preparation of operational plans and risk action reports.
• Provide strategic and policy advice on best practice asset management.
• Develop, implement and report on:
o pest and weed management programs
o fire hazard reduction programs; and
o asset maintenance programs
• Engage with key stakeholders including adjoining landowners, lessees, tenants, other government departments, local government and lead agency bodies regarding the effective and efficient management of the Coordinator-General's assets across Queensland.
• Undertake site visits and work with contractors and stakeholders on land management activities to ensure the Coordinator-General's assets are managed in accordance with best practice.
• Make recommendations on land management of budgets, appropriate expenditure and cost recovery associated with asset management.
• Manage complex procurement processes including:
o preparing contracts for works, goods or services
o supervising and managing technical consultants and contractors
o ensuring identified outcomes are achieved on time and within budget.
• Manage, update and prepare reports on asset related data using ServiceNow (data base) and other systems.
• Actively monitor compliance and risks and undertake appropriate follow up or enforcement actions.
