Role details

The Operational Services (Rural) at the Moranbah Hospital is seeking applications for a Groundsperson to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity

The Groundsperson is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of the outdoor areas of the property. This includes tasks such as mowing lawns, trimming hedges, planting, and maintaining garden beds, as well as ensuring the proper care of the helipad. The Groundsperson will work to create an attractive, functional, and well-kept environment for residents, visitors, or staff.

About the Team

Moranbah Health Service is located in the Isaac Regional Shire in the town of Moranbah, approximately 200km south-west from Mackay, a journey which takes approximately 2 ½ hours.

The Moranbah Health Service consists of Moranbah Hospital, Community & Allied Health, Mental Health & AODs services and Glenden Primary Health Care Centre. The Moranbah Hospital has a 12 bed acute inpatient facility and an emergency service.  In addition, Specialist outpatients, Medical Imaging: X-ray and ultrasound, a range of Telehealth services and ambulatory care, including mental health, allied health, community and child health services are provided through these health facilities.

Mackay Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff. The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
