We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect, with demonstrated experience in designing, developing and implementing complex and scalable ICT solutions and efficient data pipelines. Work as part of a team responsible for the management of core traffic data environments and coordinates statewide traffic data collection and data management for all traffic-related information.
We offer a flexible 36.25-hour week, work from home options, accrued time off, time
off in lieu for work outside of standard hours, 12.75% superannuation, and an EBA that provides for regular pay increases + more.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Operational Data Systems team is responsible for the management of core traffic data environments, including the Traffic Analysis and Reporting System (TARS) and the Traffic Data Centre (TDC). We coordinate statewide traffic data collection efforts and handle data management for all traffic-related information, such as counts, classifications, travel times, and event data.
As our Senior Solution Architect, you will provide development, support, and maintenance services for our data platforms and systems. Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Promote the optimisation of the branch data pipeline architecture and application development process, by providing technical advice and reports to support effective management decisions.
• Promote information technology best practice by coaching other technical staff in effective system development techniques and proactively reviewing technical documentation, including standards, system design and coding.
• Undertake systems analysis, application design, programming, unit testing, documentation, implementation, and support to deliver business requirements.
• Lead in the implementation of quality improvement programs in data management, data systems, information technology and telecommunications.
• Lead in the research, recommendations and developing solutions in within the mdevelopment environment.
ABOUT YOU:
Our ideal candidate will have:
• A degree in information technology or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience with designing, developing and implementing complex and scalable ICT solutions and efficient data pipelines.
• Strong proficiency in Data Pipeline Development, Programming languages and Frameworks: AWS, Snowflake, SQL, Python, Perl, Tableau, Jira, Confluence, Git, Azure DevOps, Docker, Visio, REST/API concepts, Agile Methodologies
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to solve complex problems.
