The Queensland Police Service is seeking applications for a temporary Administration Officer within the Right to Information and Privacy Services.

Our team provides the community the avenue to access information held by the Queensland Police Service under the Right to Information Act 2009.

You will provide administrative support, including data entry of information applications and subpoenas, records management and customer service to members of the public.

This role requires integrity, discretion, and tact in dealing with the sensitive and confidential nature of information.

Your key accountabilities

The core capability requirements for this role are:

  • Provide administrative support, including correspondence preparation, data entry and monitoring of information access applications and subpoenas in client application databases.
  • Provide efficient and effective records management including statistical reporting, maintenance of agency manuals, maintenance of data bases and filing systems.
  • Monitor and provide advice concerning improvements to administrative processes and systems and contribute to the ongoing development and modification of office procedures and systems.
  • Order and purchase consumables whilst maintaining financial records and reconcile expenditure against monthly finance reports including the payment of invoices.
  • Provide information and advice to internal staff and external clients including members of the public regarding the services provided by the section.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and ethical behaviour.
