• Establish and deliver effective financial training and development programs within the Division.
• Develop and maintain positive, constructive relationships with clients, auditors, external stakeholders and management.
• Ensure the provision of expert financial advice to management and staff by maintaining current knowledge of financial legislation and relevant policies and procedures, particularly with regards to revenue management.
• Assist with preparation of the divisional budget, including funding submissions, allocation methodologies, revenue estimates, budget loading and monthly reporting.
• Analyse financial variations, trends and outcomes and provide high level advice and reports to management.
• Develop systems and procedures to ensure that revenue collection is correctly undertaken throughout the Division, including annual fee review, invoicing and debt management, and receipting of funds in financial systems.
• Oversee debt management strategies within the Division.
• Foster a workplace culture that supports and promotes the interests of First Nations people and actively engage through our work to contribute to better outcomes for First Nations people.
