As the Job Evaluation Specialist, you will:
- Provide comprehensive independent role evaluations, through interview, desktop or benchmarking, using the mercer methodology system to determine a position's work value level.
- Critically analyse and interpret information to determine if its fit-for-purpose for evaluation and apply good judgement.
- Partner with clients to understand their business requirements, organisational design and factors influencing position requirements.
- Provide expert advice, guidance, and recommendations about the JEMS methodology and the evaluation process to facilitate their understanding.
- Write professional role evaluation reports to clients justifying the evaluated work level scoring.
- Develop and foster professional and collaborative working relationships with clients.
- Maintain accurate and appropriate record keeping, systems and standards in the delivery of job evaluation services.
We are seeking a professional who can:
- Serve as a subject matter expert in role evaluations, managing complex cases and promoting best practices.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of organisational structures and their impact on position evaluations.
- Apply advanced analytical skills to gather, interpret, and address client requirements effectively.
- Exercise sound judgement in applying the JEMS methodology and confidently explain or defend evaluation outcomes.
- Use exceptional negotiation and communication skills to present solutions and recommendations.
- Deliver high-quality, technically sound, and justifiable evaluation reports.
- Foster positive, collaborative relationships with clients, anticipating and responding to their needs.
- Maintain high attention to detail and accuracy in administrative tasks and recordkeeping.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused, fee-for-service environment.
Accreditation in the Mercer Job Evaluation methodology is required to perform role evaluations.
Previous experience (minimum 2 years' experience) in a human resource environment would be highly desirable
