About the Role
As a Senior Data Analyst at QLeave, you'll be central to how we use data and analytics to improve systems, services, and outcomes for Queensland's building and construction, contract cleaning, and community services industries.
Working in the Information Technology and Innovation team, you will collaborate with stakeholders across QLeave to lead data analysis projects, enhance reporting systems, and contribute to data-informed business improvements. You will use tools like Power BI to translate complex data into meaningful insights that drive performance and support strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, interpret and analyse complex datasets to detect trends and create actionable insights.
- Design, develop and present reports, dashboards, predictive models, and visualisations to improve service delivery and business outcomes.
- Evaluate and recommend technical solutions that meet evolving business and data requirements.
- Lead improvements in data quality, systems integration and collection processes across QLeave.
- Manage data-related documentation including data dictionaries, business cases, specifications, statistical reports and presentations.
- Develop strong stakeholder relationships to understand requirements, manage expectations, and deliver fit-for-purpose data solutions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of policies, procedures, and analytics strategies.

What We're Looking For
QLeave appointments are based on selecting the eligible applicant best suited to the position. We will assess your application based on your experience, potential for development, and your personal qualities.
For this role, we will consider how well you:
- apply extensive knowledge and experience with data analysis and visualisation techniques using Power BI, and comprehensive understanding of business analysis in order to analyse and define new process improvement opportunities to support continuous improvement and business outcomes; providing advice to stakeholders, on ways to improve the efficiency and reliability of data products and services
- engage stakeholders to conduct in-depth analysis of business's reporting requirements, make recommendations for cost-effective system and solutions
- excellent verbal and written communication skills; and demonstrate interpersonal, collaboration and negotiation skills with a proven capacity to develop and maintain sound working relationships
- apply knowledge and awareness of the latest IT technology and trends, including thorough knowledge of business intelligence tools and data frameworks
- ability to quickly learnabout Microsoft platforms including D365, Azure and on-premises SQL databases, AWS Quicksight, T-SQL, R, Python,machine-learning and solutions such as Office and SharePoint.
There are no mandatory qualifications for this role, however relevant experience and certifications in analytics, IT, or data science will be well regarded.
