Project Manager - Capital Works Infrastructure

We are looking for a Project Manager for QCS. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of and reporting on capital works projects.

You will supervise daily capital works activities and address issues that come up. You will provide advice to the Director Project Delivery and Senior Project Managers on how the program is performing and the progress of individual projects. You will coordinate projects according to Whole-of-Government capital works frameworks and financial management standards.

You will give detailed advice to government and other stakeholders on capital works and facilities management issues. You will prepare financial, facilities, and capital works reports for Leadership team, and external agencies. You will check on the implementation of capital works recommendations and make sure business units are involved in planning and performance measurement.

To do this job well, you need experience in financial data analysis, program management, and asset management. You need to be able to build good relationships with stakeholders and colleagues. You need strong analytical and problem-solving skills for facilities management issues. You need to be able to plan and deliver according to priorities. You need to know about capital works management, legislation, policies, and procedures. You need good written and oral communication skills and be able to assess risks.
