The Electrical licencing team has an opportunity for a person to join our team as a Licencing Services Officer. The Electrical Licensing Unit in the Electrical Safety Office (ESO) administers licences for over 63,000 electrical workers and 12,000 electrical contractors in Queensland.
As a Licencing Services Officer you will be responsible for processing electrical licence applications and providing advice to licence holders and applicants regarding licensing related matters. The Licencing Services Officer will be required to gain knowledge in the Electrical Licensing Legislation and relevant policies to ensure relevant and accurate information is provided to workers, contractors or other third parties. The important information provided to stakeholders assists persons comply with the requirements under the Electrical Safety Legislation.

About the role
As a Licensing Services Officer you will be responsible for processing electrical licence applications and providing advice to licence holders and applicants regarding licensing related matters. You will also assist with general administration work as required. The role reports to the Senior Licensing Officer, Electrical Licensing.

Key responsibilities include:
- Process electrical licence applications according to legislative and policy requirements.
- Undertake administrative duties as required by the unit's business and administrative processes.
- Assist with the coordination of correspondence and records management.
- Respond to electrical licensing related enquiries from internal and external clients through written and oral advice.
