Rangers ensure that Queensland’s national parks, state forests and reserves are protected, accessible and valued by all Queenslanders. Rangers work in partnership with local communities and other stakeholders to contribute to the land management, recreational and conservation outcomes across the protected areas.
This role’s focus is implementing and reporting on the South-West Region’s Natural Resource Management (NRM) program. The position will assist the region in delivering priority NRM programs and plans, in one or more of the following themes:weed and pest animal management; ecology; recovery of threatened species and communities; and emerging biosecurity issues. The role will liaise directly with field Rangers to provide technical support and assistance in the on-ground implementation of priority NRM programs.
