Role details
The Emergency Department at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Clinical Nurse Facilitator to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity
The Clinical Facilitator (CF) is accountable for supporting, educating, and developing the knowledge and skills of the emergency nursing workforce. CFs practice autonomously, provide leadership, apply critical thinking skills and have a strong focus on enacting teaching strategies. Clinical facilitation is delivered at the point of clinical care to support clinicians in achieving skill acquisition and practice development. The CF will support nurse progression in accordance with the lifelong learning framework, assist in achieving mandatory training requirements, and with achieving the requirements of the Transition Support Program (TSP) – Emergency.
About the Team
The Emergency Department (ED) is a level 4 (Clinical Services & Capabilities Framework). The Emergency Department provides a 24hr service including triage by qualified emergency staff and advanced care for all presentations. It also provides high quality trauma care to medium and minor level trauma patients and capable of stabilising trauma patients until transfers. The department is a mixed aged service, with both adults and children presenting for care and treatment.
