Role details

The Clinical Excellence Unit at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Consumer Feedback Coordinator to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your opportunity

This Consumer Feedback Coordinator strives to strengthen consumer engagement and feedback within the Mackay HHS. Feedback comprises of complaints, compliments, and suggestions. It is the responsibility of all staff to support and assist those wishing to provide feedback. Consumer feedback is a key component for measuring the quality of our service and improving patient care, services and facilities for the community.

The Consumer Feedback Coordinator is committed to providing quality customer service and providing responsive, high quality feedback management across the Mackay HHS. The Consumer Feedback Coordinator promptly acknowledges feedback and manages the feedback response process in an open and timely manner that ensures all parties are treated equally and consumers are given the opportunity to be heard. The confidentiality and privacy of consumers' personal health and feedback information is strictly protected. The Consumer Feedback Coordinator is a vital position within the Mackay HHS, overseeing and maintaining the integrity of the feedback process. The Consumer Feedback Coordinator engages with and supports all staff to respond appropriately to feedback and document all actions

About the Team

The Clinical Excellence Unit provides support and advice across all aspects of Service Delivery to maximize opportunities for continuous improvement that reflect contemporary practice that enhance opportunity for exceptional consumer outcomes.  This is achieved through shared resources working together to provide Education, Quality, Patient Safety, Infection Control, Clinical and Service Governance.
