The Executive Manager, Operations South is intergral to enabling the Deputy Commissioner, Operations South and their portfolio in delivering on operational and strategic objectives to enable the Deputy Commissioner, and the QAS to achieve improved service delivery, workforce, and patient care.
The role functions at a senior level, providing advice on policy and procedure, data and project management to enhance the successful delivery of high-quality ambulance services to the Queensland community, now and into the future.

We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:
• Contemporary knowledge and understanding of issues impacting the servicedelivery of ambulance services and the proven ability to understand and apply relevant business and resource management principles, to support theprovision of high-quality pre-hospital patient care to the Queensland Community.
• Strong negotiation, consultation, facilitation and oral communication skills, withthe proven ability to develop effective strategic relationships and partnerships with a wide variety of senior internal and external stakeholders, in anenvironment of change and evolution.
• Demonstrated skills and experience in the delivery of projects, and solutionsthat are aligned with organisational objectives.
• Highly developed conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to understand, analyse, manipulate, and interrogate performance data from a wide range of sources to drive performance improvement through the production of relevant and comprehensive reports.
• Highly developed time management skills and a demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple projects,
including the organisation of events and functions, in an environment of competing priorities and changing demands.
The following mandatory requirements, special conditions and/or other requirements apply to this role:
• The incumbent may be required to travel on official business and the possession of a C class driver's licence may be required.
• Whilst not mandatory, operational or health experience and knowledge would be desirable.
