As the Finance Officer (FAU), you will support the financial management functions across Court Services Queensland. The role engages in the preparation and distribution of Workforce reports, management of the Court Suitors trust fund account, participation in the financial month end processes (journals, data research), undertakes Assurance Compliance data testing, and other financial reporting tasks.

Your key responsibilities
• Perform various duties in Financial Accounting and Reporting including monthly financial accounting activities such as preparation of journals, reconciliations, and actioning customer queries.
• Applying proficient spreadsheeting skills, supported with demonstrated experience working with financial systems to establish analytical workings and produce user friendly reports.
• Maintain expertise in relevant legislation, accounting standards, relevant government policies and financial systems such as SAP.
• Undertake research, analysis, data testing and investigation into financial operations matter to ensure Departmental compliance with relevant legislation, Government policies and the Australian Accounting Standards.
• Development, production, and dissemination of timely Workforce reports to stakeholders.
• Management of Courts trust fund account.
• Work in a team environment with respect to the collection, analysis and reporting of financial information and statistics in the annual financial reporting processes of the Department.
• Develop and maintain positive work relationships with internal and external stakeholders using effective communication skills.
• Other functions / activities as directed by Manager, Finance and Assets Unit
