In the role of Senior Advisor Contract Management, you will be managing Queensland bus and/or coach passenger and/or ferry transport service contracts between Translink and delivery partners. You will assist the Manager Contracts and other team members by collectively contributing to the management of a portfolio of contracts for the delivery of public transport services in Queensland by monitoring and managing contract performance. The role will report directly to the Manager (Contract Management).
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Gaining a detailed knowledge of Translink's contract with the delivery partner in order to successfully manage the delivery of passenger transport services in accordance with the contract.
- Developing a professional and productive relationship with key internal and external stakeholders including the delivery partner, regional Translink offices, local councils and internal Translink business areas such as transport planning and scheduling areas, finance and communications.
- Managing the performance of the delivery partner through the application of the service contract to ensure both parties obligations are met through the adaptation and implementation of relevant contract administration frameworks.
- Planning and undertaking regular contract meetings with the delivery partner, and other stakeholders when required, to discuss all aspects of service delivery related to the contract. This may involve overnight travel to the delivery partners location across the state.
- Manage reporting and payment processes with delivery partners ensuring accurate analysis of monthly claims, accurate recording of relevant data and provision of reports as required.
- Development of high-quality correspondence to stakeholders including responses to members of the public in relation to service delivery.
- Other accountabilities and tasks as reasonably directed.
Requirements of the role
- Experience building and maintaining effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Experience analysing data and using that analysis to inform decisions.
- Experience in contract management, following contract processes and completing contract administration.
- Ability to monitor and manage performance of contractual obligations, resolve disputes and performance issues with suppliers.
Knowledge of, or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge of, government procurement and contract frameworks. - Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
