Principal Project Officer

Bring your strong project qualities of excellent organisational skills, resourcefulness and outcomes focus aligning to project schedule. You will need to have experience working on service delivery projects and a passion for domestic and family violence (DFV) program delivery in this extremely busy role.
The DFV project has a full scope to deliver by 30 June 2026. You will have great stakeholder engagement skills, attention to detail and a thoroughness in the work you undertake with an ability to meet tight deadlines.

The primary accountabilities of the Senior Project Officer include:
• Contribute to complex data collection, forecasting, research, analysis, and consultation to support project delivery and inform project recommendations.
• Set realistic goals, establish balanced work priorities, and implement continuous improvement to successfully coordinate concurrent project activity across the DFV project within agreed timeframes.
• Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate delivery of project support to maximise benefits realisation.
• Prepare high quality reports, briefing notes, and presentations on designated project outcomes, findings, and recommendations.
• Assess and monitor the quality of activity tracking, identify relevant trends and issues, and develop strategies to improve the quality and consistency of information provided to the Executive leadership.
• Establish and implement contemporary project management methodologies and techniques to assess, design, develop, implement, and evaluate project activities within tight deadlines and competing demands.
• Work autonomously, and as a member of a high functioning and collegial team; including the ability to be adaptable and flexible to deal with and manage changing priorities.
• Utilise information technology and data management systems in the preparation of reports, submissions, briefing notes, and other documentation as required.
• Ensure the timely provision of communication and advice to relevant staff and key stakeholders.
