Role details
The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Unit at the Sarina Hospital is seeking applications for a Clinical Nurse Consultant (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Potentially Preventable Hospitalisations) to join their team on a temporary basis.
Under Section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld), it is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community.

Your opportunity
The Clinical Nurse Consultant (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Potentially Preventable Hospitalisations) will coordinate and manage a team of multidisciplinary staff to deliver outreach services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients who are at risk of, or currently have a chronic condition within Mackay/Sarina area.

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Unit is an essential element of the Mackay Hospital and Health Service support services and ensures the development and delivery of culturally appropriate services and models of health care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and families.
