The Department Liaison Office (DLO) serves as the vital link between the Ministerial Office and the Department, facilitating seamless communication and collaboration.
Its core role is to keep the Minister's Office informed about the Department's operations and the agencies within the Minister's portfolio. Additionally, the DLO supports the Minister and other portfolios by managing enquiries related to the services and responsibilities of Housing and Public Works (HPW).

Beyond communication, the DLO plays a key role in driving projects and initiatives aimed at strengthening the service delivery network, ensuring the highest level of support for individuals in housing need.

What you will be doing:
• managing telephone communication from members of the public to the Office of the Minister
• accurate recording, tracking and monitoring telephone enquiries to ensure appropriate and timely action has been taken by the department
• responding clearly and accurately to enquiries from a broad range of stakeholders including members of the public, government departments and Ministerial Offices in a timely manner, to ensure effective resolution
• providing project and administrative support to the DLO team including reoccurring and one-off activities.
• undertaking research and analysis ensuring information and data is presented in a way that is easy to understand and appropriate for the audience
• working collaboratively and operating as an effective team member while providing project support
• maintaining secure information management systems and updating office manuals and contact lists when required
• monitoring, recording and tracking of telephone, email and written correspondence for both incoming mail and email accounts for the DLO team
• monitoring and operating within high volume mailboxes
• full competency on use of the correspondence tracking system (MinCor); other duties as required, including covering other roles as necessary within the Office of the Director-General.
