In the role of Temporary Senior Advisor (Contracts), Commercial Partnerships, you will undertake contract management activities to support the planning and delivery of next generation public transport service contracts for South East and Regional Queensland.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Assist in the development of next-generation public transport service contracts, including stakeholder engagement to shape commercial principles, contract frameworks, and tender documentation.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with public and private sector stakeholders, such as TMR divisions, industry groups, and service partners—while upholding probity and confidentiality standards.
- Evaluate proposals and tender submissions to assess impacts on service performance, customer outcomes, and value-for-money arrangements across South East and Regional Queensland.
- Apply strong communication skills to prepare clear and concise correspondence, briefs, presentations, and reports aligned with project priorities.
- Maintain a broad understanding of business systems, legislative frameworks and public transport operations to inform best-practice contract mechanisms and compliance.
Requirements of the role
- Demonstrated experience in contract management and administration, including applying principles and methods related to service contracts, delivery of government objectives, and value-for-money outcomes, with strong skills in managing financial contract obligations.
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, working collaboratively and demonstrating attentive listing and a personable, professional communication style.
- High-level communication skills with experience in providing written and verbal advice to support the development of executive-level briefing notes, ministerials, reports, and other correspondence in line with departmental standards.
- Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to respond to the workforces new and emerging priorities. The ability to undertake alternative duties to support shifting project priorities and service delivery as required.
