The Principal Human Resource (HR) Consultant, HR Services provides leadership and professional HR guidance to the HR Services team and broader QAS organisation in the planning, development and implementation of strategic HR initiatives and generalist workforce management services to support a variety of HR functions, including establishment management, recruitment and selection, employee entitlements, payroll, organisational restructures and strategic workforce planning. The role provides advice and consultancy services to clients on a wide range of contemporary HR issues and practices.

We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:
- Highly developed leadership, coaching and supervisory skills with demonstrated capabilities and experience in managing the delivery of high quality HR management services in a complex environment with competing priorities and finite resources.
- Extensive, detailed knowledge of contemporary HR management principles and practices and demonstrated experience in providing high level strategic and tactical advice relating to a wide range of HR issues including establishment management, recruitment and workforce planning/management.
- Proven ability to plan, manage and evaluate major HR projects and develop and implement strategic HR initiatives leading to continuous workforce improvement and the achievement of organisational objectives.
- Demonstrated high level ability to build productive relationships and liaise, consult and negotiate effectively with key internal and external stakeholders to achieve expected organisational outcomes.
- Proven ability to solve complex problems, analyse issues from various perspectives, exercise sound judgement and develop effective solutions and service improvement initiatives that support the overall business strategy for the organisation.
The following mandatory requirements, special conditions and/or other requirements apply to this role:
- Whilst not mandatory, possession of tertiary or postgraduate qualification/s in human resource management will be highly regarded.
